I've been curious if this forum has helped NuWa sell any new trailers and thought this poll might give us an idea of the forums effectiveness to NuWa's sales.

I bought mine before the forum came about, and even before I knew about the old Yahoo group.

You need a selection for most of us: Those who bought before the creation of the forum.

I considered a selection for those who bought before the creation of the forum but opted against it because we wouldn't be measuring the effectiveness of this forum as it relates to buying a new NuWa. I bought 3 without the forum and one with its help.

I personally think the benefit to NuWa is yet to come.   I have to think that this forum and the information we are attempting to provide to potential customers on our website will eventually "sink in" and begin to help people realize there is a truly a difference between trailers and manufacturers.   If this attempt to educate isn't successful, then I don't see how the smaller RV companies who provide most of the innovation and quality product will survive.  I am betting that people will be motivated to consider substance over superficial going forward.   MIKE

My decision was based on previous experience with a Nuwa product - I traded in a 17 year old CE that had been used for full-timing for 10 years - and product specification comparison between the two or three brands I was considering based on factory web sites and product brochures.

My unit at sunset in Salome, AZ by Alice Smith

I had decided on my trailer before I was aware of this site.  My salesman told me about this site after I signed the Offer to Purchase.  It wasn't anything sneaky, it just came up during our departing conversation.  It was something like: "Did you find the "nuwaowners site" useful in your final decision?"  I told him that I didn't know of the site.  I did spend a lot of time on the NuWa's site reviewing the floor plans, features, and their movies but I just didn't click on the link to this site.  My mistake but luckily I choose the right unit.

I found the lack of complaints with NuWa products on the old Yahoo site helpful in our decision making process.

Another subtle indicator of satisfaction is the lack of used Hitchhikers for sale.

We too made our selection of a HH before this forum existed. However, we did get some limited help from RV.NET. Basically I couldn't find any posts there that had anything bad to say about NuWa products.

My decision to buy a HitchHiker is so unlike me.  I had looked at all the adds in magazines and the only make that had floor plans I liked were NuWa/Custom Campers.  Then while at a RV show to look at Truck Campers we stopped by the HitchHikers to take a peak before we left the show.  We decided to buy on impulse.  We negotiated from 1 pm until 9 pm.  The show had closed and we were like the last people to leave.  Later I found out my deal wasn't that bad (about 21% off msrp).  We wanted the one at the show, but the 29.5 LKTG was brand new and they wanted to show it off.  Susan wouldn't take it if people were going to be going in it.  So we ordered one..... good decision.  Right after that Wayne started the Yahoo forum and I joined just so I could learn what I got myself into.  It has been really nice to find out that our impulse buy was for a quality product.  Now that we have been using it almost full time for 2 1/2 years we realize what a great trailer we got.

Decided on NuWa before joining this forum. Used information from forum to assist in order and option choices.
Pricing and weight spreadsheet was especially helpful.  smiley

The forum was significant in our decision to buy a HitchHiker.  I was impressed with the owners comments, feedback on questions and concerns we had, input from NuWa and the Big Foot supplier, and the ability to find help from all of you when I have a question.  The HitchHiker owners were happier with their units than the owners were expressing on the other unit's forum we were considering.

Greg:   What is the chance you would give us permission to post your comments on our NuWa website?   We only post your first name, for security purposes.  But I think your comments are important to many people who read them.   MIKE

We are still in the planning stages.  While doing our research we had read (RV Net, I believe) that NuWa was considered one of the top five RV manufacturers. After searching for months, going to RV shows, be found the floor plan we liked the most.  And while doing more research we came across this great site.  It has pretty much sealed the deal.  As soon as we sell the house (on the market) we will be ordering our new NuWa.  And this site has been a great help in making that choice.

Seen some HH's on the road and didn't know anything about them. Asked a friend and he also hadn't seen one up close. So I found Nu*Wa's web site. The forum flashed by and I opened it. Been reading since I found the place of great info. Unfortunate for the DW and I the buying time isn't here yet. I'll keep reading all the great info.

found the forum after i had already decided to buy nu-wa. was looking for the right floor plan only. noticed on rv.net that there were few complaints about nu-wa and several people liked marshalls in buda. went there on the way up to the hill country with our boat one day and owned our 5er the following monday. couldn't be happier, all the really happy campers own nu-way 5ers

I have been camping for about 45 years.  Started in tents. Have had , by progression, Truck covers, Truck campers,Trailers (Shasta's, Scotties, Williamscraft,)  Motorhomes (winnebago Brave,Honey)  went a number of years with land based camps, two of which I built, and then got the urge to fullfill my retirement dream; get a Fifth Wheel and Go! I love Fifth Wheels for some reason. Began to take notice of HitchHiker ads in Trailer Life. Got interested.  Went on Internet to Nuwa's website, somehow found the old Yahoo site,  and the rest is --even better. I now own one.  15 months and about 7000 Rving  miles later I am still as excited to own it as I was trying to make decision. All of you who had to drive at least 600 miles ,round trip, as I did to get one simply decided as I did-----To get a HITCHHIKER.

PS I'm only kidding. My better half really decided on the Hitchhiker. She just lets me "pull it".
