Owners Forum Bulletin - Spring Edition - March 2009  <--- Click Here.

Remember... this Bulletin is only available in .PDF Format!  You must have Adobe Reader installed on your computer to read it.   Wink

This particular Bulletin is larger than normal (due to all the pictures), so the best advice for saving this file to your own computer if you'd like to save it, is to save it from the Acrobat Reader.  To do this, click on the "Save" disk (just to the right of the "Print" button).  Wink

Great issue.  I specially loved the article on the bears from Stacy.  My heart would have been pounding to be standing that close to a killing machine.

Wow! Kudo's to all.  Love the bears.  Just not quite that close.  I'd need a little longer lens on my camera.

*** Update:  There was a correction needed on the "Taco Salad" recipe, so the Spring Bulletin has been updated to "Volume 3, Issue 2"!  Make sure you get the newest edited version if you saved this file.   Wink

If Shirley reads this, what size bottles of Catalina dressing are you using (1 1/2 bottles), the 8 oz size or the 16 oz size in the taco salad?

Thanks everybody for your kind words about my efforts to relate the "Walking With Bears" experience.  If you would like to read all of our adventures during our Alaska Adventure, you can do so at the blog

http://goodsamclub.mytripjournal.com/exploringwises

The infomration is a couple years old but the only thing that has changed is the price of fuel.  For those of you planning your trip to Alaska, you might find some good information.  As always, we will be glad to answer any questions you might have....

Debbie,

Try cleaning out all of your Browser History, re-boot your computer, login to the Forum again and see if that helps.

If that doesn't do it... here is the direct web link address you can place in your Browser Navigation window:

http://nuwaowners.org/Bulletins/SpringEditionBulletin-Mar.2009.pdf

Also... if that doesn't work, make sure you have the latest version: Acrobat Reader Version 9.0 <--- Click Here.   Wink

Bryan,

Here's what Shirley emailed me this morning:

I suppose the average size bottle would be the one to use....You can always add more or less if needed...that is my philosophy about cooking...as I have said before,  one can experiment with recipes.   This recipe isn't too precise...that doesn't help too much in answering Bryans question.

Thanks Gary (and Shirley).  I'll go with the premise that an average size bottle is the 8 oz one.

Roy & Sue - thank you so much for the kind words.  It sure helps to know that all that effort is helping somebody.  Good luck with the selling of the house and your trip to Alaska - slow down and enjoy every minute of it.
