First off, thanks to all of you who contribute to this forum with your helpful hints, tricks and tips.

I've compiled the following list of common topics for fixing, maintaining or modifying your rig.  This topic will be locked down and made "sticky", but if somebody has a suggestion for additional topics, please send me the topic name and which board it is in and I'll consider adding it to the list.  I'd like to keep the links to topics within our forum.  If I start linking to other sites, I can't guarantee the link will be valid next week.

I've intentionally not included any of the television upgrade/modification topics because there are so many and each one is well-done.

The Maintenance Index has some new links:
2 links dealing with Carpets, Black Lines and how to prevent them and keep the carpets clean.
A link to some information on coaxial cables and how length and connectors affect the signal strength.
Another link to a topic on Glide Rooms and what to do when they won't move.

OK, while it's still nice and sunny and warm here on the east coast, I'm hearing some ugly rumors about the sn&# flying out in the northwest part of the United States and forecasts for the white stuph from our northern neighbors.

So, in anticipation of all the questions that will arise about heaters and heat pumps and how they interact, I've updated the  Maintenance Index with several links under "HVAC" that may answer some of your questions.

Keep in mind that there are two different systems in production - one has a single thermostat and operates the furnace and heat pumps together.  The second system has two thermostats and one controls the heat pumps while the second controls the furnace and there is no interaction between the two systems.

I've also included links to Decal replacement and how to get rid of odors in the refrigerator (which will probably be handy to know during the spring thaw in about six months.)
