OK Wes...

What kind of updates are you feeding us?   Huh  You know... if this keeps up, we're gonna' have to cut your pay once again.  Then you'll be down to "one" bag of peanuts, and 3 turnips!  And we all know you can't squeeze any blood out of a turnip!   angel Wink

And weights.... stuff changes.  This was done by Wes (if I recall correctly) and it was a tremendous amount of work.  We can't expect him to do this every year.

I don't see why not.  Just because he has since picked up his new HitchHiker and is having nothing but fun, does not mean he shouldn't carry on his obligations to the forum.  When ya sign up for something...you're stuck!  I had to buy pom poms...he has to buy time! grin grin grin  Right now he's kicking back on some mountain, breathing in the air and looking across our glorious land.  Just not fair. grin

As I enter the final lap on my newbie purchase decision, I find the Cost/Weight Spreadsheet unbelievably helpful.  A special thanks to HHDreamer for putting this together for everyone.

Not to appear ungrateful, but if a new version is issued, I would like to suggest that the spreadsheet be "unlocked" or that the password to do so be made available.  (Everyone would have to pledge to "spreadsheet responsibly."   angel)  Once downloaded, it would be nice to be able to go in and change some of  the locked cells to change the GVWR (with upgraded tires, etc) or to make other changes.  Some users (me) might also wish to add other shopping notes or add a couple of lines to the end of the sheet to address truck GVWR & NCC, etc and the ability to unlock the spreadsheet would make that easier.

Again this has been a great program.  I tried to do something similar, but was limited to copying costs off the NuWa Web Site.  This is infinitely better. (And of course someone else has done the work for me -- which I don't mind.  It is part of my ongoing conservation of energy program.)

Jeff,
You realize that the plate on the unit will still have the same GVWR on it no matter what axles and tires you choose. They do not have multiple GVWR for each trailer.  Yes, you will be raising the capability.  But they don't tell you what the maximum capability of the frame is.  If they say that the trailer has 14,000 lb GVWR and you change the 6K axles to 7K and you change the E rated tires to G rated, the plate on the trailer will still say 14,000 lbs.

>>> ... the plate on the unit will still have the same GVWR on it no matter what axles and tires you choose.

It may have changed in the last few weeks, but I contacted the factory in mid-June and was told a revised GVWR sticker would appear on the unit.  It is based on the lesser of several variables (including the frame), and would not necessarily equal the upgraded tire/axle rating.

Perhaps I misunderstood??  Maybe others could jump in to see if an revised GVWR sticker appears on their unit?

And what did they say it would say?  Whatever they say, get it in writing.

I had extensive talks with them at the factory and they told me they won't do it.  I have seen Mike post that he thinks they do (but they don't).

I have a 2007 HH-II 29.5 LKTG built in April 2007. The web site says the GVWR is 13500 pounds. I ordered the heavy duty suspension and wheels, including Equaflex, but with the LR E tires. The sticker on the unit says 13668 pounds.  FWIW..
