The MoKan HitchHikers is a club made up of members that are on both sides of the Missouri/Kansas line. Most live within 50 to 75 miles of the KC Metro area.

We meet monthly to camp. In July we were at Melvern Lake. In June we were at Pomona Lake. We will be at Longview Lake in Aug. We will be at Clinton Lake in Sept. Our president is James Stines. If any one is interested in finding out more about our club you can PM me.

I see that your club mainly goes to lakes, that is what we are interested in also. I would bet you guys get down to Council Grove Lake? If so, email me when your club will be there, and I promise we will meet you there. We love Council Grove Lake!!

We do not have a website at this time  I have only been a member for the last 2 years.

They went to Council Grove lake in 07 I believe. My wife grew up in Council Grove so we go down sometimes on our own.

Yes, anytime me and Susan camp at Council Grove, we make it a point to drive into Cottonwood Falls for the fresh catfish fry they have every I think Thursday evenings, could be Friday night, I can't remember. They close off the main street and play music out on the curb, anyone can join in. It is a real good time.
