Wink Roll Eyes After being in construction/maintenance of phone lines all my career and being a certified flagger on roads and hyway's. I can read hand signals pretty good, but sometimes everything is all greek as I look in the mirror as I am backing up. I stop then and get out and look to see what it really is like behind the trailer, I trust Nancy, but just want to look. Also for hand signals, I was trained for a flagger and also on the flight line taxiing aircraft, also for backing up trucks in alley ways and to park them at a work location.
Just remember everyone backs up sometimes, Rick.....let Shirley back up the unit sometime....If your heart will stand it... lipsrsealed angel Vern

I've been telling DH for years that we should do this in case I ever have to back in somewhere.  So far, it hasn't happened.  I can honestly say that I've never backed a trailer of any kind any real distance or had to maneuver one into a "slot".  Hope I never have to learn the hard way!

The DW has always taken turns driving but she got the opportunity to back the HH when we went camping while I was still recovering from my broken ribs. She did all the driving to include backing into the site. She had always said she needed to learn how in case she had to do it in case of an emergency. She did a great job  cheesy and I had the chance to see it from her point of view.

I've driven during trips lots of times with all of the various rvs we've had through the years, just never backed one.
