I think I found a simple way to get at those previous threads that I had found to be informative or interesting in some way, with out having to use the search tool to find them again.
In my Favorites I set up a folder called "NuWa Saved Threads", now when I find an interesting topic,  I just click "Save as Favorite" and put it in my saved thread folder.  Works for me.

I made a folder I called "HH owners links". Worked great..................... till the computer caught a bug.   evil  I lost everything I had saved when it was debugged. Nothing like starting all over. Besides its still winter here in the midwest.

Craig,

When you do your usual backup, you can also backup your Bookmarks. I found this out when we transferred Mary Lou's to her new computer.

Hopefully, my attachment of instructions works.

You may be giving me more computer knowledge credit that I deserve. I moved my wife's Bookmarks from her old to her new computer - my first attempt/success.

I would think it would work to move Bookmarks from any computer to another one. Maybe the question should be posted in the tech section for a more qualified answer.

Shoot Fred -- if I do that I will get an answer I can't understand!! laugh laugh

I am not a techy by any stretch of the imagination. I did use your example to save my favorites to my hard drive as you suggested and then saved them to that little thingy I can save stuff on so next I will copy from that to the laptop and see what happens.

Check here at this site: Xmarks (Bookmark Synchronization) <--- Click Here.   Wink

This sight will allow you to download the software for either Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari, that will allow syncing your bookmarks with your other personal computers.  I've been using it for about 1 1/2 years, and love it!   azn   cheesy

You beat me to this suggestion.  The best news, after traveling on the road for 10 months and get home, my desktop at home will have the new bookmarks when I start Firefox.

For IE, Favorites is found on the Menu Bar at the top.  It is called Bookmarks for Firefox.

Gary,

I loaded Xmarks and about to unload it. I wanted to manage IE and FF on my single computer - not on two computers. If I add a bookmark to FF, I was hoping to get it added to IE as well.

I continually get pop-up windows wanting me to sign in or telling me I have unsynced bookmarks when I have not added any new bookmarks to IE or FF.

Am I trying to do something Xmarks is not designed to do?

Fred,

The X-Marks should only be used to keep the "Bookmarks" the same on two different computers.   Wink

If you want to keep the "Bookmarks" the same on two different Web Browsers (i.e. - Internet Explorer & Firefox), then you'll need to do the following:

Exporting my Firefox Bookmarks to Internet Explorer <--- Click Here.   azn   cheesy

Hope that helps you...
