I was walking around the resort today and a person stopped me to tell me he had just heard the good news that NuWa was resuming production, I could not get back to the trailer fast enough to check the forum for myself. That is great for the NuWa workers and the town of Chanute, KS, and of course for all of us loyal HH owners  grin.  Thanks Mike Mitchell for keeping a great quality company alive, this is what will make this sad economy come back, strong companies like yours.  I will reroute my trip back home to Colorado from Arizona now to come through Chanute, want to stop and get some information on what I can do to build a new Champagne with some custom changes.  We love our 339 RSB but after two winters have learned somethings we would like to change and upgrade two.  Would not of considered a new fifth wheel if NuWa was not the builder!!! I Hope nothing changes to stop this great news  smiley. Dick

Yesterday I walked into the dealership  here in Yuma that we purchased from last year. Our salesman was on the floor smiling when he saw me. "Yes I've heard" was his first remark, "and we're one of their dealers" A good sign when the dealer is excited too.-----pieman

You sure can, there is NO BETTER COMPANY out there, maybe some other good ones but none better, and I can give direct testimony to the service your company gives, read early post on your great service I submitted back in October 2007 after you folks solved a few minor problems I had with my 339 RSB when I stopped at the factory that September.  Dick

Robin and I would never consider another trailer other than HH either. We were so fearful that our 2005 was going to be our last trailer. Whew! Now we can think 'new HH' in a few years!! NuWa is truly a  class act!
And yes Mike you are free to use this quote as you see fit.

Debbie, please do not worry.  Please do not.  I know we will all have a great time as this group is such an easy going and happy bunch that all we need is to be with other HH folks and all will be well.  Really.    Greg

I am quoting you.  I will make a huge poster out of the quote and will post it at the 2010 B & B(It's the location/park that is the worry.  How close do we need to be to the  lipsrsealed ?)( DO NOT UTTER A WORD!)

I thought this was kinda funny so I will share,

I have a neighbor that works for Mike Thomson RV (which DROPPED the NuWa line after I bought mine) and asked  how the Fleetwood demise was going to effect them, I was told that 77% of there inventory was Fleetwood products. I said that's to bad that they dropped the NuWa line since they were the best trailers they sold and the fact that they are going back into production. They agreed and said the employee "(jerk)" that discontinued the contract with NuWa was terminated and hoped they could start selling them again...

Hmmm, maybe they'll give Mike Mitchell a call. If they were worth a hoot when they had a contract with NuWa it'd be my hunch Mike would want them back.

I hated their service department.  They have 3 stores around here, the one I went to was a horror story.  I was relieved when they stopped sell HH.  They did it because they couldn't afford the lot space for the HH's as around here most people want a Toy Hauler.

Frank Degales, the owner of Mike Thompson RV is a friend of mine, even though he cancelled the dealership agreement with NuWa.  They did a great job of selling our product, but wanted even more volume for the square footage of their "stores".  NuWa's shelf space was given to Toy Hauler, which were the rage in California at that time. Of course as we all know everything changes with time.  Actually I think Mike Thompsons is now so much "in bed" with Fleetwood and Keystone/Thor, that I doubt his business model would mesh with my planned new business model.  But I would not be surprised if they have wondered about their wisdom of letting the NuWa product go.  Other than their service dept. issues (such a large dealership), they represented NuWa well.  Toward the end of our relationship, I considered terminating because of the bad service reputation.  Hopefully they have improved that for their customers.  Vacation Station our present dealer sells fewer trailers for NuWa, but they are committed to our product and do a nice job of taking care of customers.   I hope they stay on board with us.   MIKE
