low point drains
As part of my water heater relocation project, I also relocated the water pump and low point drains to this location. The switch is an additional water pump switch for use when winterizing. The extra switch close to the pump is always handy. I also added a valve and plumbing to allow me to fill the fresh water holding tank while hooked up to park water or from a jug with a tube connected under the trailer to the close blue line on the left side of the picture. This is also where the antifreeze would be pulled into the system for winterizing and also eliminating the need to unhook the line at the pump for winterizing. A very simple mod that I think should be on every trailer and could eliminate the need for the standard outside tank fill door and that plumbing.
Some of you may comment on the style of pex pipe clamps I used for a lot of my joints but, I have not had a single leak in almost 2 years since completing this modification. These stainless bands can be used in tighter quarters and are proving to be as good as the brass band style that I also used in various locations on this project.
